Every morning when I am getting ready for work, I go into the bathroom to do my hair, make up,brush my teeth etc..I can't shut the door because the cats usually scratch to come in, so they can play in the bath tub. Prince always lays in the sink while i'm getting ready. I don't know why, but it's super cute!
The other morning when I turned on the light - he was already in there, waiting!! Too cute.

Christmas
On Christmas Eve we spent the evening with Andrews family! It was special this year because of our nephew - Kingston. Even though he was barely a month old, it was still fun to celebrate the holiday and play with him!
After we finished with Andrew's family, we went to my sisters house and had Christmas with her,my brother in law, and my brother.
When we finally got back home it was 3:00am!!! We knew Andrew would have to sleep most of Christmas Day in order to be awake for work that night. It was getting complicated to decide when he and I would do Christmas together. (My mom had sent our presents a week earlier, since we wouldn't be traveling to NC this year). What better time than the present?? So at 3:00am Christmas Day we dug into our gifts!!

Second Snow of the Season!
$100 Sofa
The first weekend in December Andrew and I saw a Grand Furnishings commercial advertisting Sofas for $100. At first I blew it off, but then the night before the big sale I decided I was going to get one of those sofas! We've been planning to buy furniture anyways (since our basement was empty) and a brand new couch for $100 is A LOT nicer than a $300 used couch from craigslist!
So Samara and I went out to the store around midnight to see if they were going to open early. We met some crazy lady who was going spend the night in front of the store!! We decided we would be there at 6am. The commercial said only 20 available - and we knew the competition would be intense. (Kyle says we have a craving for adrenaline shopping situations, since we were still on a Black Friday 'high'.) We arrived at 6am and were numbers 16 and 17 in line!! We then sat in the FREEZING cold for 4 hours. We got our couchs though!
Enjoying my hard work!
Our old couch wouldn't fit in the basement..and so we went ahead and moved it down to the mancave, where it belongs anyways!!

We're Homeowners!
SO we haven't updated in awhile! Mainly because we've been moving into our new house!! We are all settled in now with just a few things left at our old apartment. (Mainly just cleaning supplies.) The kitties have adjusted well although the first 3-4 days were rough, but they love all of the space they have now!
We'll try to get back on track with our blogging, and we'll post some pictures soon!

Hooked for Life
Hooked for Life is a great program that a fellow church member founded, dedicated to teaching the word of God through fishing. On Sunday afternoon Andrew and I were able to help volunteer with the children from the 17th St. Baptist Center!

Trust in the Lord
As some of you may or may not know..my church is going through a difficult time right now. We are currently in search of a new full-time pastor but are fortunate enough to have guest pastors in the mean time.
Today we heard a wonderful message to "Trust in the Lord." By trusting in the lord with all of our hearts, our full being, God will provide a straight and blessed path for us. It does not mean the path will be easy, but God will always provide-even in your darkest hour.
The message resonated with me as Andrew and I had a rough 2009-early 2010. But we gave it all to God, we were blessed, and we continue to be blessed!
We hope that all of you will apply this message to your lives! Trust in the lord with your entire being, always acknowledge him, and he will provide!

" WHAT ..........a whirlwind!"
Last friday, Samara and I traveled to Raleigh to see my favorite person ever, Chelsea Handler!! She is still promoting her new book, Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang. If you don't know who she is, check out her show 'Chelsea Lately' at 11pm, weeeknights on E!. She was hilarious, and hopefully we'll get to see her again! (The bottom picture is of me and Samara watching the show..some random girl behind us wanted to take this picture.)
Fink's Diamond Dash
This past weekend Andrew and I went downtown to watch Samara and Kyle compete in the Fink's Diamond Dash. I work for Fink's, so obviously I could not participate. The Diamond Dash was a scavenger hunt throughout downtown Roanoke all by text message. You received clues which told you where your next stop was, and then once arriving you had to figure out some sort of riddle or complete a challenge. The grand prize? A $15,000 1.5Ct Ritani Diamond Engagement Ring!

Our Wedding
Battle Wounds
Andrew had knee surgery on January 13th. He had torn his ACL during a football game in October of 2008. However, the incompetent doctor told us it was just a severe sprain, so Andrew had just been taking it easy, and trying to let his knee slowly mend. Thanksgiving of 2009 Andrew re-injured his knee (tearing his meniscus and lateral ligaments) and we finally went to a different Orthopedic Doctor. After an MRI and XRays not only had andrew torn every ligament in his knee, his ACL was completely dissolved! Andrew needed 3 different procedures to fix his knee, and Carilion only provided 1 of those surgeries. Roanoke Ortho Center said they wouldn't be able to see Andrew until February! We decided to head to NC to an Ortho my mom recommended. Dr. Graves saw Andrew the day after Christmas and scheduled the surgery for 3 weeks later! Dr.Graves was able to reconstruct Andrew's knee using Andrew's patellar tendon. This allows Andrew a stronger knee and a better recovery versus surgery with a cadaver.
The surgery went well and today Andrew is almost back to 100%. It had been killing him that he has not been able to play sports or be active, but he has been patient knowing that this has all been in God's hands, plus he's got a pretty awesome scar!
