WOW! It's been awhile since I last updated the blog, so I just wanted to drop in and give an update.
I'm currently working for Commonwealth Catholic Charities as their Coordinator for the Supervised Visitation Program. In english, I receive referrals from the court system for people who can only have supervised visits with their children.
Andrew is still at Sheetz. He now drives his own truck!
Samara, my sister, got married almost a month ago on November 7! (I'll put that in a seperate post).
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at my Grandparent's house in Culpeper.
Andrew's birthday is today, but we celebrated yesterday since he has to work tonight :(
Other than that, it's been the usual! We're excited about the holiday season. We got our first christmas tree and had a great time decorating the house- so did Prince & Tipper!

Summer 09
Wow! It's been awhile since I last updated this thing and lots of stuff has happened!
The pictures above are from our Summer 09 Happenings which are explained below!
I graduated from UVA-Wise in May. That was a huge accomplishment, and I'm glad to finally be out of school! I'll be applying to Grad-school around the holidays, so my break from class work and paper writing may be shortlived!
The day after graduation we left for the beach! We traveled to OBX and my WHOLE family came...significant others & animals included:
Mom & John
Me & Andrew
Samara & Kyle
Patrick
Drew & Gina
Drew & Gina
Juli & Jordan
Little doggies: Lily & Beamer
We had some great food, and some great sunburns! What a way to kickoff Summer!
Another big topic this summer was the job situation for both me and Andrew.
Andrew had been working at Chemsolv for the past year, but after a few dangerous chemical incidents, Andrew decided he needed to be looking for a safer job. He found one! At Sheetz. He became a Driver's Assistant on the VA/NC route. He has enjoyed the position so far, and feels much safer not having to work around those flamable/acidic chemicals!
I applied for 20+ jobs and only heard back from a handful, and interviewed for even less. I ended up working for Roanoke City Schools in the summer lunch program-making bagged lunches to take to the ghetto. It wasn't the most glamorous job, but money is money, right?
Luckily, as that position was coming to the end, a friend of my future-sister-in-law, Kristin, contacted me from Commonwealth Catholic Charities saying they had a position come open for the Coordinator of their Supervised Visitation Program. I said yes immediately, and I've been training in that position for the past month. We are currently re-working the program hoping to get more grant money, so I've been very busy getting hands-on with the position. I am very excited about this position, and I love all of the work I've been doing so far! I can't wait to see how the Program will continue to Develop!
Andrew and I have also been busy planning for our wedding thats just around the corner in April! We just recently tackled the guest list, so everyone be on the lookout for their Save-the-Dates!
